description

The Casa Blanca Museum's building was the first fortification built by the Spaniards in the San Juan Islet to protect against foreigners' attacks. It was also intended to be the residence of former Puerto Rico's Governor Juan Ponce de León, but he never resided there. Rather, Juan Ponce de León's descendants resided in Casa Blanca.

While in the museum, you may see XVI-XVIII century furniture and visit the gardens that surround the former residence.

Regular Hours of Operation:

Tuesday - Sunday, 8:10 am - 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm - 4:10 pm.

As of July 11, 2018, the museum is not open to the public due to a private activity that will be held until July 24, 2018 . The museum will reopen afterwards.

We suggest contacting the museum prior to arriving to make sure it is not closed.
