Voyage 1 Volume 1 Issue December 2016

The explorations made by ecotreasures in Puerto Rico for purposes of this magazine’s issue resulted in one-on-one experiences with nature or nature-derived products, either per se or just by feeling.

You may feel such type of experience while volunteering to do a bird count in Luyando Farm, located in Puerto Rico’s Northern Karst Region, or hiking in Jobos Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve surrounded by very different ecosystems such as mangroves, wetlands, salt flats, a dry forest and the beautiful Jobos Bay on the southern side of the island. Likewise, an extreme adventure in a hidden private forest, located not too far from the Capital City, may allow you to feel part of the forest.

Also, we let you know how to indulge your senses by either savoring artisanal and organic pure dark chocolate produced on the western side of Puerto Rico, drinking a shot of an aromatic and flavorful alcoholic drink mainly made of coconut and known as “coquito”, or tasting one of the best coffees served in the island.

In addition, we specify beaches in Puerto Rico where surfer travelers may experience their one-on-one encounter with great surf breaks and waves, according to Puerto Rico’s champion and gold medalist surfer, Carlos Cabrero.

Kids also need to engage in special activities. We inform about our experience in the Bull Maze rope-course structure in Toro Verde, where we perceived kids’ joy as they overcame the challenging elements on their own.

Hope you like the ecotreasures topics covered in this magazine’s issue. Wish you the best for the New Year!
