Casa Blanca Museum
San Juan, PR,
description
The Casa Blanca Museum's building was the first fortification built by the Spaniards in the San Juan Islet to protect against foreigners' attacks. It was also intended to be the residence of Juan Ponce de León, former Governor of Puerto Rico, but he never resided there. Rather, Juan Ponce de León's descendants resided in Casa Blanca.
While in the museum, you may see XVI-XVIII century furniture and visit the gardens surrounding the building.
