The Jobos Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve is located near the southern coastline of Puerto Rico. It comprises around 2,800 acre of land in the Municipalities of Salinas and Guayama, including some nearby islets. Jobos Bay is the second largest estuary in Puerto Rico. This nature reserve is administered by the Puerto Rico Natural and Environmental Resources Department in accordance with a collaborative agreement with the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

People may hike trails in this nature reserve. Group guided hiking tours may be available, subject to prior reservations.

The site's Visitor Center has information about this nature reserve. The nature reserve's staff performs scientific investigations and implements recurrent educational programs targeted towards students and teachers.
